What's new?
Aggregate with total values of subgoals
You can now add up the total values of a goal's subitems to calculate its progress. This feature enables exciting new use cases, such as adding up revenue values from different sales areas or creating self-updating KPI trees.
You can enable this setting by selecting Calculate progress by Sum (Absolute) in the Aggregation measurement type.
Embed external content on your dashboards
You can now embed iframes directly into your dashboards. Add live views from almost every imaginable tool like Power BI, Tableau, Miro, Excel, Google Sheets and Docs, Looker Studio, Powerpoint or Google Slides, and many many more – all in one place.
Use iframe embeds to add context, display real-time data, and keep all your insights at your fingertips, without the need to switch between apps.
Head over to your dashboards now and try it out!
Go beyond 100%: Exceeding goals
Previously, goals with progress calculated from subgoals were capped at 100%, preventing them from exceeding this limit. You can now enable "overachievement" on these goals, allowing them to exceed 100% progress.
It also means that reports and dashboards no longer cap goals at 100%.
Goal progress display options
You can now customize how goal progress is shown in the goal table view. Choose to display progress as a percentage, as absolute values, or both.
Export dashboards as PDF
You can now export your progress, health, and custom dashboards as PDF. Simply head over to the dashboard you want to export, click the more options icon (the three dots in the top right), and choose "Save as PDF."
This feature makes it easy to share key insights and data snapshots with your team or stakeholders – perfect for meetings, presentations, or keeping a personal record.
Introduction of a company team
Mooncamp has always had a dedicated space for the company—the company space within your sidebar. This was the place to display your company vision and logo, as well as your company goals.
However, it has always been somewhat unclear how to define company goals. This issue is now resolved. The company space now functions like any other team space. The company is your top-level team, which you can select when creating a goal.
Depending on how you previously managed company goals, you may need to adjust your approach. To assist you, we've created a Migration Guide that explains in detail what has changed and what actions you might consider taking.
Upload images as custom icons
It is now possible to upload custom images as icons for teams, goal types, dashboards, check-in templates, and favorites. We’ve already seen customers adding their own goal type icons or team symbols to give their workspaces some personal flair 🎨
Reordering table columns and properties
You can now change the order of table columns as well as the order of displayed properties (e.g., on goal pages or check-ins). On table views, simply drag and drop a column to the desired position by clicking and holding the mouse button. Additionally, you can rearrange properties by accessing the properties menu via the ellipsis icon in the header row.
Introducing a new area for managing teams 🎉
Previously, you would manage your teams from your sidebar. With the introduction of new features like archiving teams, assigning team ownership, and arranging teams, teams now have their own home in the settings area. This new central place makes it much easier to create teams, manage your organizational structure, and add members and owners to your teams.
Archiving of teams 📁
Organizations constantly change: departments restructure, teams merge, and projects end. So what do you do with outdated teams in Mooncamp?
You now have the option to archive a team. This removes it from your sidebar, but all associated goals and dashboards remain accessible.
Alternatively, you can delete the team along with all its goals - the choice is yours.
