What's new?
Introduction of a company team
Mooncamp has always had a dedicated space for the company—the company space within your sidebar. This was the place to display your company vision and logo, as well as your company goals.
However, it has always been somewhat unclear how to define company goals. This issue is now resolved. The company space now functions like any other team space. The company is your top-level team, which you can select when creating a goal.
Depending on how you previously managed company goals, you may need to adjust your approach. To assist you, we've created a Migration Guide that explains in detail what has changed and what actions you might consider taking.
Upload images as custom icons
It is now possible to upload custom images as icons for teams, goal types, dashboards, check-in templates, and favorites. We’ve already seen customers adding their own goal type icons or team symbols to give their workspaces some personal flair 🎨
Reordering table columns and properties
You can now change the order of table columns as well as the order of displayed properties (e.g., on goal pages or check-ins). On table views, simply drag and drop a column to the desired position by clicking and holding the mouse button. Additionally, you can rearrange properties by accessing the properties menu via the ellipsis icon in the header row.
Introducing a new area for managing teams 🎉
Previously, you would manage your teams from your sidebar. With the introduction of new features like archiving teams, assigning team ownership, and arranging teams, teams now have their own home in the settings area. This new central place makes it much easier to create teams, manage your organizational structure, and add members and owners to your teams.
Archiving of teams 📁
Organizations constantly change: departments restructure, teams merge, and projects end. So what do you do with outdated teams in Mooncamp?
You now have the option to archive a team. This removes it from your sidebar, but all associated goals and dashboards remain accessible.
Alternatively, you can delete the team along with all its goals - the choice is yours.
Team owners can invite members to their team 👋
Teams now have owners with additional rights in their teamspace. The main benefit: they can add members to their team!
Previously, only admins could assign users to teams, which could be overwhelming in larger organizations. Now, team owners can manage this themselves, making administration much easier.
Easy aligning and ordering of teams
You can now align and reorder your teams easily by dragging and dropping.
Quick actions for column headers
You can now quickly apply filters and sorts by clicking on the column header in a table view.
Explore and switch views with tabs
Views let you and your team slice and dice data however you need. Now, they’re just one click away — access different views with tabs at the top of each database. You can also sort the view tabs to your liking simply by dragging and dropping.
Automatically add goals to user check-ins
This new and much-requested feature allows automatic inclusion of a user's goals in their check-ins, based on specific user properties such as "Owner" or "Contributor." This automation eliminates the need for manual entry of goals, although users retain the ability to edit these goals in their check-ins as needed.
To activate this feature, users with the appropriate permissions can navigate to Check-ins > Templates, edit a check-in template, and enable the toggle for dynamic goal insertion, as shown in the video below.
